Snow
summer festival:
Every year, during the first days
of June we celebrate the "Snow
summer festival". This year
we had the 17th edition of these
celebrations,
witch, over the years, has had
numerous artistic and sports personalities
from all over the world as participants.
This unique manifestation in EU
(as far as we know), takes place
for 2 days and consists of numerous,
one of a kind, sport competitions
(Balea Lake relay race, rope pulling,
paragliding from 2400m - 7873ft),
trained mountaineer demonstrations
and music held in the parking of
lot of Balea Lac, as well as Balea
Cascada.

Snow
carnival
It takes place every year in February,
this year with it's 17th edition and international participants.

Women's Ball
It takes place annually at Balea Cascada lodge, around March 8, 2011
taking place the third edition.
Balea area is heavily courted by skiers and snowboarders in particular
thickness and persistence of snow up to 7-8 months per year.
Skiing is done in the area until July, with transport facilities
for skiers between 1234m and 2200m altitude.
